In a couple of days, the highly acclaimed Disney film “Frozen” is set to take Guam’s stage.
Featuring an all-youth cast, “Frozen Jr.” will showcase all the memorable songs from the animated movie as well as five new songs written for the Broadway production.
The performance follows the story of Elsa and Anna, two sisters who strengthen their relationship.
According to Jairah Natividad, who plays Anna, the show is unique because it’s performed by local talents.
“What makes it so special is that kids put everything on. There’s really no adults on stage and I think it makes the job harder. But you can really see the passion that the kids have, especially when they sing the songs,” Natividad said.
As for Gaby Wannall, the show’s assistant director, working on “Frozen Jr.” has been an exciting experience and she encourages everyone to attend.
“It’s such a great show for the value and it’s a great way to start the holiday season and it’s such a great show to bring your family to!” Wannall said.
A portion of the proceeds from the performance will be donated to the UOG Endowment Foundation.
“Frozen Jr.” is set to show at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. this Saturday at the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse.
