Gamboa Named UOG Chief Human Resource Officer

Guam – The University of Guam has appointed its Chief Human Resource Officer and Acting Directors for Professional and International Programs and Integrated Marketing Communications.

Larry Gamboa has been appointed University of Guam Chief Human Resources Officer. 

Larry has over 20 years of experience in higher education as a support staff, faculty member, and administrator.  His professional experience includes work in government, higher education, non-profits, and the private sector.  Larry is a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Certified Program Planner (CPP).  He was previously the Director of Professional & International Programs.  Larry has an MA in Human Resource Management from Hawaii Pacific University, an MBA from the University of Guam, and a BBA in Management and Finance/Economics also from UOG.

Cathleen Moore-Linn has been appointed University of Guam Acting Director, Professional & International Programs. 

She has 22 years of experience in higher education administration with a focus on public relations, advertising, marketing, and grants management. Cathleen was previously UOG Director, Integrated Marketing Communications, a position she held since 2002. Moore-Linn has an MFA in English and Writing from Long Island University and a BA in Communication from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.

Jonas Macapinlac has been appointed University of Guam Acting Director, Integrated Marketing Communications.

He has nearly 15 years of experience working in advertising, public relations, and multimedia design and production in both the private and public sectors.  Jonas has been with the University of Guam since 2007, most recently serving as Media Development / Information Technology Coordinator under the UOG Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, & Service (Guam CEDDERS).  He has an MBA from the University of Guam and a BS in Communications, Advertising & Public Relations Concentration from Pensacola Christian College.
