Garrido Gets Life for Murder and Felony Escape


Keith Jermane Garrido will be eligible for parole in 15 years.

Guam – Convicted murderer Keith Jermane Garrido could be spending the rest of his life in prison.



Garrido was sentenced in Superior Court today in Judge Anita Sukola’s courtroom. He received a sentence of life with the possibility of parole in 15 years.

Garrido was convicted in the November 2012 death of Nancy Mafnas when he entered her Barrigada home and bludgeoned her to death.

While that case was pending, Garrido escaped a prison van and broke into another woman’s home and assaulted her.

For the escape and assault case, Garrido was sentenced to 15 years which will be served at the same time of his life sentence. He was also sentenced to 5 years in a separate burglary case.
