Guam – The GCA Trades Academy will be expanding its facilities, one of their most significant projects to date.
Having outgrown their old facility, the GCA Trades Academy purchased two large warehouse buildings right next to the Guam Department of Education building in Tiyan.
The academy used a grant from the Department of Commerce to make the investment.
According to Dr. Bert Johnston, GCATA education director, one building will have 12 classrooms as well as administrative offices. Excess space will hopefully become a hub for non-profit organizations.
The second building will offer space for workshops as well as a few other classrooms. The new GCATA facility will have up to 16 classrooms in total.
The renovated academy will serve as a center for those who are interested in learning how to serve their community better.
