GCC, FHB host 3rd annual John K. Lee, Jr. Scholarship 5K Nov. 7
PRESS RELEASE – There’s still time to register for the GCC Foundation/First Hawaiian Bank 3rd annual John K. Lee, Jr. Scholarship Fund 5K Run/Walk happening this Saturday, November 7th, at the Chamorro Village in Hagatna. Check-in time starts at 5:00 A.M; go time is 6:00 A.M. Early registration fee is $7 per person/$5 student, and group rates are available. GCC Supervision & Management students are helping to organize the race, and will be taking registration forms at Hornet and Goody’s on Friday, November 6th. Race day registration is $10 per person.
Registration forms are also available online at www.guamcc.edu and at Hornet Sporting Goods in Tamuning. Registration is also available on the GCC campus at the Student Lounge in the Student Center on Wednesday, November 4th from 2-4pm.
The first 300 finishers will receive a free t-shirt, and included among the many raffle prizes is one United Economy roundtrip ticket from Guam to Micronesia, Asia, or Manila.
Proceeds from this annual 5K will directly benefit GCC students in the form of scholarships in honor of the late John K. Lee, Jr., former First Hawaiian Bank Guam/CNMI Senior Vice President/ Region Supervisor and GCC Foundation board member.
