The Guam Community College in partnership with Cabras Marine Corporation completed the fourth Ship Repair Transportation Boot Camp.

The Ship Repair Transportation Boot Camp has become the model for GCC’s pre-apprenticeship boot camps moving forward. GCC works with the employer to ensure successful participants are employed immediately upon completion of the boot camp. This employer commitment allows GCC to develop programs that can address the specific skills needed by a company or industry.

Along with the specific trades, participants received soft skills training in Work Ethic, Work Keys (National Career Readiness Certificate), OSHA-10 and Heart Savers First Aid, CPR/AED.

Governor Lou A. Leon Guerrero, Lt. Governor Joshua Tenorio, Senator Amanda Shelton and GCC President Mary Okada, and Cabras Marine Corporation, President Mr. Joseph L. Cruz  presented the certificates.
