GDOE announces early release of schools due to water issues

Early Release for Students at Harry S. Truman Elementary School and Southern High School on May 5 Due to No Water Pressure; Classes and ASPIRE to Resume May 6

The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) would like to inform the public that students at Harry S. Truman Elementary School (HSTES) and Southern High School (SHS) will be released early today, Thursday, May 5, 2022, due to little to no water pressure.  Guam Waterworks Authority is repairing a break in the mainline in the surrounding area.

For students at Harry S. Truman Elementary School, there will be no ASPIRE this afternoon.

Busses will be at the school campuses at 8:30 a.m. Parents and guardians are encouraged to pick up their children by the designated dismissal time.

Classes and ASPIRE will resume at Harry S. Truman Elementary School and Southern High School tomorrow, May 6, 2022, and any future changes will be announced.
