The first day of Guam Department of Education (GDOE) face-to-face classes will take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Due to the weekly face-to-face schedule, only three schools will begin face-to-face classes on January 19, to include Vicente Benavente Middle School, F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School, and Simon Sanchez High School. All other schools will begin face-to-face classes on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

“We are excited to welcome our students back to school,” GDOE Superintendent Jon Fernandez said. “We have been preparing for many months in collaboration with the Governor’s Office, Public Health, and the Physicians Advisory Group to ensure that this transition back to face-to-face classes is as smooth and safe as possible. I want to thank all of our parents, faculty and staff for their continued hard work and support as we adjust to this new normal.”
