GDOE Student Survey Determines Federal Funding for Schools

Guam- A Federal Impact Aid Survey sent out to Students attending public schools last Friday will help the Federal Government determine how much funding to give Guam Schools to help with operational expenses.

According to GDOE Administrator Joe Sanchez the funding goes towards materials and supplies, maintenance and repairs, professional development and sometimes personnel.  Sanchez says the amount GDOE receives is based on a formula that takes into account the number of GDOE Students whose parents  work on federal property, live on federal property or both.

Today is the deadline for students to turn in the surveys but Sanchez notes that some surveys will be turned in late.  Parents with questions about the survey should contact the division of Research, Planning and Evaluation at 300-1635.
