According to a release, the training will help teachers prepare for a STEM contest held by the Texas Computer Education Association next year.

According to Joy Schwartz, a board member of TCEA and a visiting instructor, the training is important to equip students with useful skills that would benefit them in the future.

“We are preparing our students for jobs that may not even exist right now, so we want to make sure that we’re staying on top of all the new technology and bringing that into the classroom,” Schwartz said.
