In order to help grow the job market, Guam’s Department of Labor is encouraging companies to use the American Job Center to host training and job fairs.
As part of the continued effort to support employment-related programs for the community, the Leon Guerrero- Tenorio administration and GDOL, expand the services provided to local employers at the American Job Center (AJC) and make a call for companies looking to host trainings and job fairs.
Recently, DOL held a job fair on October 7th, in partnership with local companies, and provided the resources and staff needed for it to be successful. 22 of the 40 job seekers that attended were offered positions.
Department of Labor says that if a company is planning to hire, then they can assist with that. DOL Director Dave Dell’isola said, “We would like to put a call out to other businesses to utilize our resources at the AJC, which includes training, video conferencing, and hosting job fairs. GDOL also has dedicated staff with experience in planning and executing a successful job fair,”
