The Guam Department of Labor has released updated numbers for PUA, LWA and other unemployment benefits.
GDOL Director Dave Dell’Isola told K57’s Patti Arroyo Tuesday morning that the department ran the current batch of unemployment benefits last night and the total came up to $19.3 million so far this week.
That includes $9.7 million in PUA, $9.5 million in FPUC, and $117,000 in LWA and $1.7 million in taxes collected.
According to Dell’Isola, there was no problem with this current batch with only a few sporadic issues with the transition into the current round of unemployment claims.
Aside from taking care of benefits, he says they are now cranking up appeals from claimants and collecting overpayments.
