Guam Symphony Plays Gershwin Friday & Sunday Night at UOG Fine Arts Theater

Guam – (March 20) – The Guam Symphony Society is pleased to host its second Chamber Music Series – The Music of Gershwin, Mozart and Dvorak tomorrow, Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at the UOG Fine Arts Theater.

Symphony Musical Director Stephen Bednarzyk says, “It’s a chance to hear a variety of great classical music in a more intimate settig starting with Mozart and ending with the Tangos of Astor Piazzolla.”  Admissions is $10 per person and is available at the door.

This Sunday, March 23 at 1 p.m., the Symphony will be hosting a matinee of its successful spring concert – I Got Rhythm, The Music of George Gershwin at the Sandcastle in Tumon.

Under the direction of Dr. Stephen Bednarzyk, the Symphony Orchestra and Chorale, along with guests soloists Ernest Ochoco, Christine Pama and acclaimed pianist Elizabeth Dela Cruz will be performing Gershwin pieces including “An American in Paris,” “Porgy and Bess,” “Rhapsody in Blue” and many more!

Admissions is $20 per ticket. Tickets are available at the door prior to the concert and at Faith Bookstore (472-1265) in Maite.
