The Guam Election Commission continues its in-office and curbside voting on Saturday and this time GEC will be at a satellite location in Mangilao.
Election officials will be at the George Washington High School from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM tomorrow to assist voters from all over the island.
GEC Executive Director Maria Pangelinan says they are reaching out to the community to encourage them to vote and to increase voter participation in the election.
For those who are apprehensive about going to the polls because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the election commission offers several options for voting.
Aside from voting at the satellite polling sites, GEC also continues to offer in-office and curbside voting at the GCIC building in Agana.
And at GW tomorrow, canopies will be set up outside for curbside voters. They will accept voters from other villages, not just Mangilao residents. On-site registration and same-day voting are also permitted, according to Pangelinan.
“At the GCIC building, you see that there is no line there. So feel free to come in, take a U-turn on the light, drive straight into curbside and present your ID and you can vote. And if you are not registered, you can register and vote at the same time,” Pangelinan said.
Voters can also set an appointment with GEC to lessen their waiting time.
After Mangilao, GEC’s next stop will be:
Saturday, October 10, 2020 F.B. Leon Guerrero Middle School in Yigo
Saturday, October 17, 2020 Okkodo High School, Dededo
