GEDA & GFCA Sign MOA Clearing Way for Construction of New Fisherman’s Co-Op

Guam – The Guam Economic Development Authority [GEDA] and the Guam Fishermen’s Co-Op [CFCA] signed a Memorandum of Understanding today clearing the way for work to begin on re-building the Co-Op’s 30 year old building at the Hagatna Marina.

Public Law 32-56, which was signed into law last July, appropriated $2-million from the Hotel Occupancy Tax [HOT] Bonds to the Co-Op for “the construction, repair and improvement of its building in Hagåtña.”

The MOA signed today creates the account required into which the $2-million appropriated by the Legislature will be deposit which will allow for the project to proceed.
