GEPA beach monitoring still suspended; all GovGuam public beaches and parks closed

The Guam Environmental Protection Agency has further suspended its regular beach monitoring per Executive Order 2020-06, issued by Governor Leon Guerrero on Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

This suspension is based on the extension of social isolation mandates and the closure of all public parks and beaches outlined in this Executive Order.

Effective immediately through April 13, 2020, all Government of Guam public parks and beaches shall be closed to all activities except for individual use for purposes of exercise, both physical and mental, subject to social distancing mandates laid out by the Governor to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

All monitoring and field activities are suspended until April 13, 2020. The most current beach advisory issued on March 13th, 2020 will remain in place until the next sampling event occurs.
