GFD: Fire at Vacant Office in Harmon “Deliberately Set”

Guam – Acting Guam Fire Spokesman Kevin Reilly says that a fire this morning at an abandoned office in Harmon was “deliberately set”.

The fire occurred in a single story wood and tin structure, just off Adrian Sanchez Street, commonly known as Hamburger Highway. The office was formally used as office space by dck. Reilly said the property currently belongs to Ten-Tac.

He said fire investigators determined it was deliberately set because there were multiple ignition points and there is no electrical to the building.

The blaze broke out shortly after 6am. It forced the closure of a portion of Hamburger Highway for a short time. The road was re-opened after 7am.

No one is in custody. Reilly asks anyone with information about the blaze to call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP.
