The Guam Hotel and Restaurant Association will hold a second vaccination clinic next week.
Guam Visitors Bureau vice president Gerry Perez said GHRA has secured its second COVID-19 vaccine dose allocation and it is scheduling a vaccine clinic next week.
“They’re also discussing a third vaccination clinic with the Department of Public Health and Social Services but that decision is still pending,” Perez reported during the GVB board meeting Thursday.
Perez said the Hyatt hotel will most likely be the venue again because it’s geographically convenient.
He added that peer group pressure and support from co-workers as well as proximity to the workplace have all contributed towards making the first GHRA vaccination clinic successful.
In mid-March, the GHRA pilot vaccination clinic vaccinated 200 in just one hour. And about 600 were vaccinated during the 3-hour duration of the clinic.
Islandwide, about 45 percent of eligible residents have already had their first dose and 26 percent their second dose.
