Guam – The Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority (GHURA) provides the following data for its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) and Public Housing units.

The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Application along with the final Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) is now accessible electronically at www.ghura.org. Application deadline is June 28, 2013 at GHURA’s main Sinajaña office, Procurement Division, by 2:00 p.m. GHURA will award a total of $3,317,972.00 for 2013 Program Year, with project completion in 2015.
GHURA is the designated administrator of the LIHTC Program on behalf of the Government of Guam. The LIHTC Program encourages partnership with private developers in the construction or rehabilitation of affordable rental housing for low-income individuals and families. Qualified owners and developers of qualifying buildings and projects receive Credit to offset their federal tax liability.
Between 2005 and 2010, 433 housing units were built utilizing LIHTC with an estimated $12.5 million awarded in the construction of affordable rental housing. Two ongoing projects will add another 152 new units to the housing inventory by December 2014 with approximately $5.9 million of LIHTC awarded.
