GIAA police lieutenant arrested for theft

A Guam International Airport Authority Police Lieutenant was arrested after being caught on camera stealing from gas station.

Guam – The Guam Police Department’s Criminal Investigations arrested a fellow law enforcement officer today, on allegations of theft of property and official misconduct.

On December 22, 2017, GPD Officers responded to a complaint of retail theft at a Circle K/76 Gas station. According to GPD Spokesperson Officer Paul Tapao, video surveillance depicted a GIAA Police Officer allegedly consuming store products and then leaving the store without paying. The officer was later identified as Lieutenant Dean Dereck Delgado.

After being interviewed by police Delgado was arrested on charges of two counts theft of property and two counts official misconduct .

He was booked and released.
