GWA Spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf says GMH was able to make a payment of $136,000 Thursday.
Guam – Guam Waterworks Authority Spokesperson Heidi ballendorf says the Guam Memorial Hospital was able to meet their deadline to pay their water bill before disconnection.
A payment of $136,000 was due today and Ballendorf says, the hospital made that payment yesterday.
Meanwhile, GMH is due for another utility bill, this time Guam Power Authority. Spokesperson Art Perez says a payment of $300,000 is due next Thursday by 5 pm or their power will be disconnected the following morning.
Perez says the $300,000 covers the payment plan GMH agreed to as well as their current bill.
The payment plan was negotiated after both utility agencies threatened to disconnect power and water at the hospital last month because of a delinquency of over $1 million owed to both agencies.
