Guam Memorial Hospital has relaxed its patient visitation policies as of Monday, June 1.
The hospital will now allow one approved caregiver to visit their loved ones from 5 pm to 8 pm each day.
One approved visitor can also spend the night with a patient.
GMH Administrator Lillian Perez-Posadas told K57’s Patti Arroyo they’re still being strict about congregating inside patient rooms and waiting areas.
“They’ll have to wait outside [the hospital] and then they can take turns coming in to visit their loved ones. And of course, they still need to wear masks and their temperatures will be checked at the entrance,” Perez-Posadas said.
Visitation for dying patients will be limited to immediate family members only in order to continue social distancing practices.
The use of face masks is required at all times.
