After receiving a surprisingly good turnout from island residents at one of their job fairs held Wednesday, International Dining Concepts, LLC plans to conduct another job fair soon.

On Wednesday, IDC conducted a job fair at Beachin’ Shrimp location 2 in Tamuning across from the Pacific Islands Club which began around 9 am and wrapped up at around 3 p.m.

Jude Diaz, the Human Resources Manager at IDC, says that they are looking to hire employees for California Pizza Kitchen, Ban Thai, Pika’s Cafe, and Beachin’ Shrimp.

The positions they are hiring for are restaurant management cooks, supervisors, bartenders, prep cooks, servers, dishwashers, hosts, and bussers.

The company usually participates in the island-wide job fair where multiple companies looking to hire usually come together, according to Diaz.

He said that they were supposed to hold a job fair for their CPK location in Hagatna but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was impossible for them to do so.

Diaz says that today’s job fair turned out to be great and over 50 people participated.

He stated that because of the great turnout, they want to give more residents an opportunity to apply.

Diaz says that they are ready to hire employees safely while adhering to COVID-19 protocols.

“So as we process people in, we aren’t gonna rush it. We wanna make sure that we take care of everybody individually and then make sure that they have a program ready for them to go into a restaurant. So our managers are ready to bring these employees in and give them the training they need,” Diaz said.

He added that the next job fair is being organized and expected to take place soon.
