GOP confirms Wil Castro running for Congress

Senator Wil Castro said: “The people’s representative must represent all of the people and work with everyone entrusted to work for the people.”

The Republican Party of Guam has confirmed that Sen. Wil Castro is the party’s candidate for Guam Delegate to Congress.

Castro is currently the Minority Leader and as a result of his nomination to Congress, the Republican Party announced the following alternating leadership roles within the Republican senators in the 35th Guam Legislature:

• Minority Leader — Senator Telo T. Taitague
• Assistant Minority Leader — Senator Louise Borja Muña
• Minority Whip — Senator James “Jim” C. Moylan
• Nominee to the Republican Party of Guam for Delegate to the United States House of
Representatives — Senator Wil Castro

“Senator Castro is a statesman whom we trust will work with all parties and represent Guam well in Congress,” said newly installed Minority Leader Senator Telo Taitague in a Republican Party of Guam news release.

“Building bridges and bringing people together — absent political lines — is the best way forward for Guam,” stated Senator Wil Castro. “The people’s representative must represent all of the people and work with everyone entrusted to work for the people.”
