Gov. Recognizes Guam Head Start’s 45 Years Of Service

Guam –  Governor Felix Camacho signed a proclaimation Monday recognizing the Head Start Program which has been on Guam for nearly five decades.

October 1st, 2010 marked the 45th anniversary for the islands participation in the Head Start Program recognized as one of the best early childhood development programs throughout the world.
Camacho would like to thank all the individuals and organizations that have been involved throughout the years in helping Guam’s precious asset, our children. Camacho encourages all island residents to acknowledge and support the vital contributions made by the head start program. He would also like everyone to recognize this program’s accomplishments in meeting the needs of the children and families of Guam.

The Governor also signed proclamations for Fire Prevention Week and Public Power Week.
