Guam – Governor Eddie Calvo today [Tuesday] announced an $8 million dollar expansion of the GMH Emergency Room.
Acting GMH Administrator Rey Vega and GMH Board members were on hand for the announcement in the GMH Board room.
The Governor said that dck Pacific will be doing the work and the aim is to expand and modernize the current emergency room to reduce over-crowding and improve service.
Emergency room services will be moved to the former Dialysis Outpatient Clinic within the hospital, while the expansion work is underway.
The expansion is expected to be completed by January 2014.
