Guam – Governor Felix Camacho today [Tuesday] has appointed GPD Major Rick Leon Guerrero Acting Guam Police Chief, again.
Leon Guerrero will take over after current Acting Chief Frank Ishizaki’s 90 day appointment expires tomorrow [Wednesday].
A statement from the Governor reads:
“I want to thank Chief Ishizaki for serving the people of Guahan as acting chief. While I have yet to appoint a permanent police chief, GPD Acting Commander Rick Leon Guerrero will assume the acting chief position until one is appointed. Mr. Leon Guerrero’s acting capacity will be effective tomorrow.”
Leon Guerrero previously served as Acting Chief after former Chief Paul Suba was forced to step down and before Ishizaki was appointed acting Chief.
