Governor challenges the legislature and judiciary to do the same.
Guam – Meanwhile the Governor’s office is opening up it’s A400 financial system to the public for the first time.
According to a release from the Governor’s office, Governor Calvo has ordered the Department of Administration to set up a public access terminal with read-only access to the government’s financial system, the AS400. He’s also ordered the DOA to set up computers for the legislature and the judiciary and he’s calling on both branches to open their financial systems to the public. The Governor says this way there won’t be any need to request for information via the Freedom of Information Act. The Governor is quoted as saying “This is true transparency. The other branches should follow suit.”
