Guam – Governor Eddie Calvo issued the following statement this afternoon [Friday] following the legislature passage of a substituted version of his Supplemental Budget Bill # 184.
The Governor’s statement:
The Guam Legislature passed the substitute supplemental appropriation bill moments ago. The substitute version of the measure has many additions and changes made by Chairman Ben Pangelinan.
“I want to thank all the senators for giving this matter the serious attention it deserves. This government needed this bill to keep its doors open. I also want to thank the men and women throughout GovGuam who worked day and night to avert any negative effects as a result of the widespread shortfalls in the current budget.”
The Governor’s Office is waiting to receive the bill so it can be formally reviewed for action. Session has been adjourned subject to the call of Speaker Won Pat.
