Governor Camacho Will Assist Transition Team With “Accurate Report” On Budget Shortfall

Guam – The Office of the Governor of Guam released the following statement today [Monday] regarding reports claiming the government of Guam has a $96 million dollar shortfall.

“While our administration and the Calvo-Tenorio transition team have had many productive meetings regarding the operational needs of our government, the administration’s fiscal policy team has yet to meet with its transition counterpart.

In the meantime, we continue our efforts to assist the transition team in providing Governor-elect Calvo with an accurate report of the government’s fiscal position by their Dec. 15th deadline.

We will continue to work with the transition team on possible solutions to the government’s fiscal challenges.”
