Guam – Guam Tsunami Preparedness Week promotes safe practices and education about tsunamis, and their potential threats to coastal communities.
Throughout the week, Guam Homeland Security will be participating in community outreach activities throughout the island and it’s schools to educate the community about evacuation zones and safety procedures should a tsunami occur.
In addition to the proclamation signing, the Guam Homeland Security Office presented certificates to their “Partners in Preparedness”, individuals who have contributed their time and assistance in promoting tsunami disaster preparedness.The following were recognized as “Partners in Preparedness”:
