Guam – As part of the newly-launched School Safety Partnership program, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero started visiting the regional school districts starting with the northern schools.
Leon Guerrero met with stakeholders at Liguan Elementary School on Monday night.
“In fact, Lt. Governor Josh and I will be meeting with parents, students, teachers and our community at Liguan Elementary School to get their feedback on ways we can improve school safety. This is part of a program launched a few weeks ago in partnership with the Guam Department of Education, Guam Police Department, Guam Behavioral Health and Wellness Center, Department of Public Works and Guam Homeland Security, called the School Safety Partnership,” Leon Guerrero said.
She added, ‘We want you to share with us your concerns and your ideas on ways we can better protect our children from all forms of abuse.”
Two more meetings are scheduled this week following Monday’s meeting at Liguan.
The next one will be held May 7, Tuesday at Carbullido Elementary School, followed by a third meeting at Inarajan Elementary School on May 8, Wednesday. All meetings start at 6 p.m.
