Governor Lourdes Leon Guerrero, Commander-In-Chief of the Guam National Guard, and Lieutenant Governor Joshua Tenorio greeted soldiers from the Guam Army National Guard’s 1st-294th Infantry Regiment, who are currently supporting the
Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) peacekeeping mission in the Sinai Peninsula.

The greetings came by way of a video teleconference call (VTC) on Friday, Dec. 20, at the Guard’s Readiness Center, in Barrigada. The VTC coincided with a command visit by
Maj. Gen. Esther J.C. Aguigui, The Adjutant General of the Guam National Guard, and State Command Sergeant Major Agnes Diaz.

Technology allowed all the Guam Guard Soldiers, who are operating in four different locations in Egypt, to simultaneously talk to the Governor and listen to her words of appreciation for the service and pride in all they do.

She also asked if there was anything she could do and if they wanted her to contact their spouses and family members.
