Governor pleased no one tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero said she is “very excited” that no one tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.

All of the 33 tests conducted by Guam Public Health came back negative, although one person was clinically diagnosed with the disease in the absence of a positive test.  That raised the number of confirmed cases on Guam by 1 to 134.

“I’m very excited about that,” said the Governor “but again excited in the same way that we should be committed and continue on with our measures and to even make sure that we strengthen the barriers.”

The Governor also expressed her condolences to the sailor from the USS Roosevelt who died at Naval Hospital Guam Monday.

“I am so sorry that this has happened,” said the Governor. She thanked the sailor for his service and for “protecting our waters” and “our freedoms.”

“On behalf of the people of Guam we send our condolences to the family,” she said.
