Governor rings the bell for the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign

The governor volunteered to help the Salvation Army meets its goal of raising $60,000 during the campaign. They are currently about $10,000 short of their goal.

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero rang the bell for the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign Thursday evening at the Micronesia Mall.

The governor volunteered to help the Salvation Army meets its goal of raising $60,000 during the campaign. They are currently about $10,000 short of their goal.

“We are grateful to the Governor for assisting us in this year’s kettle season,” said the Salvation Army’s Major Tom Stambaugh. “When you drop a dollar into the Red Kettle, the donation stays in our island community to help those who need it most.”

The governor has called on other GovGuam agencies to join the effort and volunteer to ring the bell for the Red Kettle campaign.
