On Tuesday, Governor Leon Guerrero address that despite the recently confirmed 422 new COVID Cases.
Though there is no reported case of Omicron on the island, the Governor has said that she will be behaving as though it already is here.
Global data continues to suggest that Omicron causes milder symptoms. Furthermore, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had started to lax restrictions, despite Omicron.
This is because of the public health interventions set in place and because the protective measures remain effective.
However, she reiterates the need for people to get tested, and to get their vaccines and boosters if they have yet to do so.
