In her address, she says that Guam’s COVID risk level remains high based on CDC guidance, but she anticipates that within the next couple of days, the levels will decline to moderate.

Accordingly, the Governor says she did not remove the indoor social gathering limit altogether because Guam is still in a public health emergency.

Nevertheless, she says, the number and quality of resources available at GDOE schools is sufficient to keep children protected during the public health emergency. She says she encourages children to immerse themselves fully in student life and to reap the benefits of such activity for their mental and physical wellbeing.

Similar to sentiments expressed by CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the Governor says that vigilance is vital in overcoming the pandemic together. She ends her address with a reminder to continue wearing a mask, washing your hands, maintaining social distancing, and most importantly, to get vaccinated and boosted.
