The day after Thanksgiving is the traditional start of the Christmas season and the governor marked the occasion Friday evening at Government House in Agana Heights.
The Governor’s Holiday Home Grand Opening kicked off at 6 p.m. The grounds of the governor’s mansion have been decorated with traditional Christmas displays.
Visitors will be able to get their picture taken with Santa.
Then, tomorrow afternoon at the Guam Museum, the Christmas Festival gets underway at 4 p.m. followed by the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Skinners Plaza at 6 p.m.
Both the holiday home at the governor’s mansion and the Christmas festival at Skinners Plaza will run through Jan. 7.
