Guam – The Governor’s spending cuts bill will get its first hearing on Monday September 17th.
The Governor’s bill has been given the Bill number 507.
According to the first release from the Vice-Speaker, the hearing is being held in the form of a round-table discussion and the release says that it will be the first of “a series of hearings on Bill # 507.”
Senator Cruz has invited various representatives from the Administration including the Attorney General, Human Resource Managers, Department Directors and Civil Service Commission members.

Please be advised that the Committee on Youth, Cultural Affairs, Procurement, General Government Operations, and Public Broadcasting will begin a series of hearings on Bill No. 507-31 (COR) with a Roundtable Discussion beginning on September 17, 2012, at 5:30PM. Other hearings will follow on the 18, 24, 25, and 26, of September, 2012, starting at 5:30PM in I Liheslatura’s Public Hearing Room. Vice Speaker Benjamin J.F. Cruz invites representatives from the Calvo Administration, Human Resource Managers, Departmental Directors, Administrative Resource Officers, Civil Service Commission Members, and the Attorney General’s office to attend. Specific provisions for discussion on each of the hearing dates are forthcoming:
Bill No. 507-31 (COR) – Committee on Rules; Federal, Foreign & Micronesian Affairs; and Human & Natural Resources – An act to amend §4107, §4107.1, §4019, §4109.2 and §4119 of Chapter 4 of Title 4 GCA, to repeal §4109.1, §4109.5, §4110.1, and §4111 of Chapter 4 of Title 4 GCA, and amend §6219 of Chapter 6 of Title 4 GCA, to repeal §6223 and §6232 of Chapter 6 of Title 4 GCA, to amend §8137(b) of Chapter 8 of Title 4 GCA and to add a new section §8174 to Article 1, Chapter 8 of Title 4 GCA.
