Government of Guam employees had a chance to get a health check up this afternoon at the annual Gov Guam Work-site Wellness Program Re-Commitment Event.

Guam – The Department of Public Health and Social Services, in partnership with the Non-Communicable Disease Consortium, the Guam Regional Medical City Hospital, Calvo’s SelectCare, Moylan’s NetCare and TakeCare, hosted the event today at the Micronesia Mall Center Court.

Some of the activities at the event included a health screening, an exercise marathon, a commitment oath and a raffle drawing. According to a release from DPHSS, this event is held every year to encourage Gov Guam employees and retirees to take part in the activities and to initiate a personal commitment towards active and healthier lifestyle.

The goal of the Work-site Wellness Program is to improve the health, well-being and productivity of all Government of Guam employees, by enhancing all aspects of health. For more information about WWP, please contact Patrick Luces at 735-7295.
