Government of Guam employee’s pay raise went into effect on April 1, following Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero signing ceremony for Bill 24-37, now Public Law 37-3.

The law appropriates over $20 million to the General Pay Plan to allow for the 22% pay increase for both classified and non-classified government employees.

The long overdue “pay adjustments” were required a while ago under Guam Law, but the General Pay Plan had not been adjusted in nine years.

The Governor said the GPP will be reviewed and adjusted every three years.

GovGuam employees should expect to see the adjustment in the upcoming pay stub.
