GovGuam volunteers to clean up Guam’s highways

Guam – This weekend, the Island Beautification Task Force will host a cleanup of Guam’s major highways.

Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio spoke about the event with Andrea Pellacani at k57.

According to the Lieutenant Governor, as part of the preparations for the 75th Liberation celebrations, the employees of the different departments and agencies, together with the island mayors will do an islandwide cleanup on Saturday, June 1, starting at 6 a.m.

“This island wide beautification, this effort is really trying to activate the government of Guam employees to come out and this is a fraction of a really big program that we are trying to manage. This dumping issue is one of the biggest problems that we have on our island, in one of the most beautiful places in the world. We are supposed to have one of the best island pride hospitality and what we see out there really undermines the place where we live.
