Guam – The Guam Power Authority has announced that its Facilities Division has completed repairs at three of the island’s public schools.
The repairs were completed at Price Elementary, FBLG and D.L. Perez Elementary School in Yigo. The repairs were part of the Authority’s support for the opening of public schools for the island’s school children.
In all, 75 air conditioning units were assessed and repaired at the schools. The breakdown follows:
1. Price Elementary School (18 A/C Units).
2. F.D. Leon Guerrero Middle School (37 A/C Units).
3. D.L. Perez Elementary School (20 A/C Units).
Air Con Repair Support was coordinated closely with GDoE Maintenance Division. Scope of work included troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of identified units via the existing work order system in place with GDoE Maintenance.
“Last December, GPA was able to make similar repairs to air con units at George Washington Senior High School,” remarked Thomas G. Borja- Facilities Manager. “Our support is really an extension of the support GPA has for education – support that is a community effort of which GPA is proud to provide.”
