Guam Power Authority issues load shedding schedules through 10 p.m.
Guam – Residents can expect to see load shedding again as MEC unit no. 9 is down.
MEC unit no.9, which was down early this morning with engine problems, is still undergoing maintenance, this according to GPA spokesman Art Perez. This will spur another round of load shedding for the island. This comes at a time when the CCU recently awarded the contract to the company Aggreko to provide 40MW of capacity trough individual generators. The shedding started with a forced outage at 12:45 p.m. and will continue through 10 p.m.
