GPA: Power Restored to ITC Intersection, Traffic Cleared After Downed Power Line Is Repaired

Guam – The Guam Power Authority reportes that power was restored to the ITC intersection at 1:40pm after an emergency power outage was declared for parts of Tamuning, including the ITC Building.

GPA Spokesman Art Perez says a downed power line caused the outage.

Guam Police reported the downed line, which partially blocked traffic at the ITC intersection [ Route #1 and Route #14] for just over an hour this afternoon.

Forced outage first reported at 1215pm today affecting the following areas:

1.       Carlos Camacho Road heading towards Jonestown from Route 1 to Route 14 intersection of Farenholt to Shell location towards Nissan Auto City; and
2.       Central Tamuning ITC intersection and surrounding areas

GPD reported down line to dispatchers.  GPA line crews completed repairs at 1340hrs.

All service restored at 1345hrs.  Customers in these areas experiencing service quality problems are asked to contact GPA dispatchers at 475-1472/3/4.
