GPA: Second Emergency Outage of the Day Declared Across Southern Guam

Guam – The Guam Power Authority, which is already working to find the cause of an emergency outage affecting parts of Dededo and Mangilao, is now trying to find the cause of another outage across the southern part of the island.

GPA Spokesman Art Perez reports that an ongoing outage is affecting customers from Umatac towards Malesso and to Bear Rock area of Inarajan.

This outage began about 4 pm this afternoon [Friday].

Line crews along with personnel from our Substation section has been dispatched to investigate and restore power.

No restoration time has been set yet.

There is an ongoing outage affecting customers from Umatac towards Malesso and to Bear Rock area of Inarajan.  Outage began at 1600 and at this time, no estimated time of restoration is provided.
