GPD: 11 Juveniles, 1 Adult, Detained on Charges of Selling “Spice” Cigarettes at Schools


Guam – Detectives with the Guam Police Department’s Juvenile Investigations Section have detained one adult and 11 teens on various drug related charges.

Guam Police PIO Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the adult has been identified as 20 year old Jaython R.C. Duenas of  Talafofo. he has been booked and confined.

The juveniles range in age from 13 to 14.

The charges against them include possession and distribution of the drug called “Spice”. 

8 of the children were released to their parents with a summons issued for appearance at Family Court at a later time and date.  The 3 others were confined at the Department of Youth Affairs.

Officer Balajadia says Duenas was arrested on probable cause that he used a student under 18 years of age to conduct his drug operation. And  that student in turn used other students to sell “Spice” cigarettes at their respective schools for Duenas.

Duenas has been charged with:  Illegal Possession, Possession for Illegal Delivery, Distribution to Individual Under Age 18, Employment or Use if Individual Under 18 years of Age in Drug Operations and Jurisdiction Over Adults.
