GPD Applies for $726K Federal Grant for Boating Safety Program

Guam – The Guam Police Department has applies for a $726-thousand dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to conduct a recreational Boating Safety Program.

According to a release from the Guam State Clearing House, which processes all federal grant requests from GovGuam entities, GPD has submitted a continuing federal grant application to the Guam State Clearinghouse (GSC) requesting $726,136.00 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, with CFDA # 97.012.

Funds from this grant will permit the State to assume the primary share of boating safety education, assistance, and enforcement activities and to assist the State in carrying out a State Recreational Boating Safety Program.

Using the GSC State Application Identifier, 01211041138Y, a summary of the application may be viewed or downloaded upon request to the Guam State Clearinghouse.
