GPD apprehends man wanted for questioning relative to Barrigada fatal crash investigation

The Guam Police Department has apprehended 27-year-old Segundo Aguero Sablan.

Segundo Aguero Sablan was wanted for questioning by traffic investigators from GPD’S Highway Patrol relative to a fatal crash investigation in Barrigada.

On April 9, 2021, the Guam Police Department issued a wanted flyer for public view, relative to the whereabouts of the 27-year-old Sablan.

Through the course of the crash investigation, traffic investigators learned that Sablan was also wanted for questioning for a theft of a motor vehicle complaint.

On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, traffic investigators were able to locate Sablan at am home in Mongmong, based on information provided by the community. He was later transported to GPD Headquarters in Tiyan for an interview and was later arrested for the following offenses:

  • Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Injuries Resulting in Death
  • Failure to Report
  • No Valid Drivers License
  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle and
  • 3 Counts of Outstanding Warrants of Arrest

Sablan was subsequently booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. This
case has been forwarded to the office of the Attorney General for prosecution. Although an arrest has been made, the fatal crash investigation remains open.
