Guam – Guam Police report that an armed man robbed a Taiwanese couple at gunpoint yesterday afternoon at the Cetti Bay overlook.
GPD Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia says it happened about 3:40 pm.
The suspect reportedly walked up the stairs to the overlook armed with a rifle. He struck the man with the butt of the rifle and then punched him, says Balajadia. The tourist was later treated and released for a laceration at GMH. A second suspect also stood watch while the robbery occured.
Officer Balajadia says the pair made off with a gold watch, an IPhone, car keys and then stole the couples rent a car. The Rent a Car was later recovered in Agat.
The armed suspect is described as dark complexioned, with a medium build, a mustache, black hair, and standing 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-8 inches in height and weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a greenish brown military type hat.
The second suspect who stood lookout while the robbery occurred is described only as wearing a greenish brown military type hat, like his partner.
